How Much Do Golf Lessons Cost in Perth?

Golf lesson prices vary for a reason
If you are comparing golf lessons in Perth, you will see a wide range of prices. The difference is not simply the number of minutes on the lesson clock. Coach experience, facility costs, technology, lesson format and the level of support around the session all affect price.
The better question is not “what is the cheapest golf lesson?” It is “what am I actually receiving for the money, and is it the right format for what I want to achieve?”
What affects the price of a golf lesson?
A PGA professional with substantial coaching and playing experience may charge differently from a new instructor. Indoor venues may incorporate simulator or bay costs. TrackMan and other launch-monitor technology add objective measurement. On-course lessons take longer and provide a different type of coaching from a conventional hitting-bay session.
Duration matters too. A 30-minute lesson can be useful for a very specific check-in, while a 60-minute lesson gives more time to understand the golfer, diagnose the pattern, test the change and establish practice.
My current Perth golf lesson pricing
At Lights Out Golf in Wangara, my current one-hour private lesson is $150 for the public and $120 for Lights Out Golf members. Pricing should always be checked on the booking page before booking because services and venue arrangements can change.
I deliberately position the one-hour lesson as the main starting point. It gives us enough time to understand the problem properly rather than rushing from observation to a quick fix.
Is a cheaper lesson better value?
Not necessarily. Value in coaching is the useful change you take away, not the cost per minute. A $70 lesson that leaves you with three conflicting swing thoughts can be more expensive in the long run than a higher-priced session that gives you a clear diagnosis and months of productive practice.
That does not mean expensive automatically means better. Look at the coach’s experience, communication, environment, reviews and whether their approach matches what you need.
Single lessons versus coaching programs
A one-off lesson is ideal when you have a defined problem, want a professional assessment of what is happening or need a fresh direction. Ongoing coaching makes more sense when the goal involves several parts of the game or requires accountability over time.
For golfers pursuing sustained development, my Performance Pathway combines regular coaching with a more structured process. The point is not to sell more lessons. It is to match the level of support to the size of the goal.
What should you ask before paying for a lesson?
Check whether venue or ball fees are included, how long the session runs, whether technology is available, what happens after the lesson and whether you will receive a practice direction. Also check the cancellation policy and whether the coach works with golfers at your level.
Price is one factor. Clarity, relevance and the likelihood that the lesson improves the way you practise and play are the factors that ultimately determine value.
If this sounds like the way you want to improve, book a one-hour golf lesson with Glenn Paul at Lights Out Golf in Wangara.
